WASPS PROPOSE FIVE-YEAR GROUNDSHARE DEAL WITH WANDERERS

from the Bucks Free Press 30 January 2004

WASPS have proposed a five-year groundshare at Wycombe Wanderers - but Blues have rejected the details of it and called for more talks.

The Zurich Premiership champions, who moved in with Wanderers in August, 2002, have asked for a five-year deal starting from next season but with several conditions attached, which include increasing the capacity at the stadium.

Wanderers are now hoping to negotiate some of the clauses and are set to respond with a counter proposal.

More talks are now being planned and it is possible that Wasps could sign up for five years with opt-out clauses at the end of the first two years.
