CLUB PURSUES WINTON MONEY

QPR are determined to reclaim money owed by the Winton family and their associated companies.
The club are praying they can avoid a civil suit against the family of super fans, but are resolved to claw back something in the region of £400,000 for unpaid player wages in the wake of a revolutionary scheme set up by life-president Harold Winton with sons Matt and Alex two years ago.
The Wintons' brainwave was to pay for striker DouDou and defender Danny Shittu and take a cut of any subsequent sale.
However, it appears the family has reneged on part of the deal and the club are left with few choices.
One option besides open court is the Sport Dispute Resolution Panel, an arm of the Court for Arbitration in Sport, which recently ruled over the controversial transfer of Steve Marlet to Fulham.
Friction between board and the Wintons erupted on Saturday after the 2-1 win over Brighton, when stunned onlookers witnessed a slanging match as Matt Winton railed into director Ross Jones in the Loftus Road reception area.
Winton has already written a controversial article for Kick Up The Rs fanzine slating the board which has not made an amicable reconciliation easier.
