PALADINI PIPS ROWE AND KRAUSE

Italian sports agent Gianni Paladini has made a substantial investment in Queens Park Rangers.

Paladini, who has acted as agent to greats such as Juninho, Gianfranco Zola, Benito Carbone and Fabrizio Ravanelli, is said to have invested around £650,000 to buy shares in the club which will significantly alleviate QPR's financial problems.

The Italian, who attempted to take over at Port Vale at the end of last year before missing out, has pipped two other consortiums headed by former QPR Commercial Director Brian Rowe and Milwaukee Wave Football Franchise Tim Krause, but that does not rule them out of the picture.

Rangers are looking for as many investors as possible to hopefully fund next season in Division One, and that means they will continue to talk with both Rowe and Krause over the next few weeks.

The Rowe bid is said to be part-funded by Claude Anelka, brother to Manchester City star Nicolas, who acts as the Premiership star's advisor, while the Americans have been connected with Rangers
for over a year, and are set to bring another group of youngsters over this summer for a joint soccer school with QPR.

It is still unclear how hands-on Paladini is intending to be at Loftus Road, but he is likely to want to make some important decisions for his money. An investment as large as this one though can only be good news for Rangers and could lead to a fresh influx of players in the summer.
