Bratt describes
how Port Vale were under pressure to find investment or be
expelled from the League, and claims that Paladini initially
offered to plough £560,000 into the club and then at the last
minute, when he believed he was Port Vale's only hope, reduced
the amount on offer to £25,000. Paladini disputes these
figures.
Paladini speaks
of his love for Port Vale, denies that he intended to sell the
Vale Park ground, and says he will continue to follow the team
even though his investment has not been accepted. He says that
his son Stephen (now rumoured to be working at QPR) is even
more disappointed than he is.
