THE PRICE OF NOT GOING UP
Wednesday 7 April 2004
The club has announced some details of how it hopes to survive financially if the team fails to secure promotion to Division 1.
In a meeting with QPR 1st supporters trust on 27 March David Davies and Nick Blackburn said they expect the difference in income for the club between Division 1 and Division 2 to be £1.5m-£2m.
Should we remain in Division 2 the board intends to:
cut the budget for players' wages by £750k
slash £350k from the youth set-up
reduce outgoings by £350k by refinancing the loan
Season ticket prices are set to rise by around 20% regardless of which division we are in.
